AboutWelcome to Grand Lake O' The Cherokees!

"The Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce exists to support and promote the growth of economic development, member businesses and tourism."

Nestled in the lush green rolling hills of Northeastern Oklahoma's "Green Country," our beautiful Grand Lake O' the Cherokees is a mere stone's throw from Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.

Formed by Pensacola Dam, built in the early 1940's and still the world's longest multiple arch dam, Grand Lake provides the perfect opportunity to get away from it all.

With a 1,300 mile shoreline, Grand Lake is the premier water park of Oklahoma. Fishing, boating, skiing and the scenic wonder of the lake make it the favorite of visitors and locals alike.

The Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to play an important role in the continuing development and improvement of the Grand Lake area.

AboutGLACC News 11-8-11

The Grand Lake Area Chamber held its annual meeting Monday night, November 7, 2011 at Cherokee Yacht Club.  It was a great event with special guest Governor Mary Fallin.  The Governor gave a great speech on Grand Lake and all the efforts she is making to help make Oklahoma more business friendly.  We greatly appreciate Governor Fallin taking the time to come to our banquet and she helped make it a great success.

The Chamber is celebrating 40 years of service and this year we also honored 40 Grand Lakers that have had a tremendous impact on the Lake.  The group got together for a reception prior to the banquet where they had a chance to mingle, speak with Governor Fallin and have a group photo.  They also received a special glass award in honor of their service to Grand Lake.  We want to thank all those that have helped make Grand Lake a great place to live, work and visit.

The event was a great success and we want to thank Cherokee Yacht Club for the venue and excellent meal, the Banquet Committee that put in a tremendous amount of time coordinating the event and Lora Jackson in the chamber office for helping put the event together.

The new officers for 2012 will be John Deken - President, Michael Torrone - Vice President, Kendra Montana - Secretary and Judy Florida - Treasurer.

Outgoing officers are Jaime Dobbins - President, Michelle Robertson - Vice President and Tiffany McKibben - Secretary.  I want to especially thank the executive committee for their service to the Chamber and their great work this year.
