PAAS Awarded Mentorship and Training Grant from The Humane Society of the US

Grant and Training Designed to Help Implement Community Outreach Program in Vinita

Peaceful Animal Adoption Shelter (PAAS) is proud to announce that it was awarded the Pets for Life Mentorship and Training program grant to provide direct, hands-on community outreach in Vinita. The program is sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States.

“PAAS thanks The Humane Society of the United States for their generous support,” said Kay Stout, director. “With the help of this grant and training, we will make a real and lasting difference for people and pets in underserved areas in Vinita.”

“PAAS has demonstrated an impressive initiative to bring pet care resources and services that are often out of reach to people and pets in Vinita,” said Amanda Arrington, director for The HSUS’ Pets for Life program. “The Humane Society of the United States is delighted to help PAAS accomplish its mission with this well-deserved grant and training.”

With an estimated 23 million pets living in poverty with their people in the United States, Pets for Life addresses the critical lack of accessible and affordable animal welfare services, resources and information for people and pets in underserved communities

“The Pets for Life grant PAAS received from The HSUS brings a comprehensive program to Vinita,” Stout said. “The goal is to work with Vinita residents so they can keep their pets at home.”

Services available through the Pets for Life grant include spay and neuter of all pets, assistance with vaccinations and options to keep dogs safe, and within the law, while they are outside.

“PAAS is proud to be selected for this effective community outreach membership and training program,” Stout said.
