Busy Last Weekend of August at Shangri-La

We’re wrapping up the month of August at Shangri-La with a busy, busy week!  Thursday, we begin the weekend by welcoming the EBOB Rex Wilson Golf Group and the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (CED#1). Practice rounds are Sunday for the Shangri-La Couples Invitational Tournament, with tournament play scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The Friday Night Horse Race (5:00) is back this week, along with Women’s Golf Association play on Monday.
 
In the Buffalo Bar, it’s a packed weekend of televised sporting events, including The Barclays on the PGA Tour, and six NFL games, wrapping up the final weekend of pre-season.  The first college football game of the season (Hawaii at California) is Friday night. We’ll have complete coverage in the Buffalo Bar and at Island Joe’s.
 
Remember the Summit Restaurant is open for breakfast Saturday & Sunday mornings at 8:00 as well as lunch and dinner service Thursday-Monday. In addition to the Summit Restaurant and Buffalo Bar, the Turn House is also open daily with snacks, sandwiches and beverages for golfers on the run.
 
Island Joe’s Kentena at Shangri-La Marina has a great entertainment line-up this weekend startingFriday night:  Diversity Friday night, Jim Green Saturday night, and Low Compatibility Sundayafternoon & evening.
 
Sail Grand is also open every day for boat and personal watercraft rentals, parasailing and yacht charters out of Shangri-La Marina.  Call 918-257-6000 for reservations. It looks like a great weekend ahead.  We hope you will spend some of it with us at Shangri-La.
