Island Joe's Kentena is owned by Kenny and Tena Smith ("ken" and "tena"....Kentena, get it?). Lakeside dining and drinking is a lot more fun since this dedicated Grand Lake couple took over the most popular accessible-by-water restaurant/bar on Grand Lake. Island Joe's is family
friendly during daytime and early evening hours, with a targeted kids menu including favorites like grilled cheese and peanut butter & jelly.
For the big kids, there's a full service bar and a menu of mouth-watering favorites. A wide array of appetizers includes everything from shrimp cocktail to nachos, fried dill pickles to popular jalapeno onion stix.
Famous on the lake for their outstanding burgers, Island Joe's offers a great variety of other sandwiches including everything from pulled pork to their awesome chicken fried steak sandwich. Seafood lovers rave about the tilapia sandwich and seafood sliders, too – as well as Chef Tom's "specials" and his popular fried shrimp basket.

Island Joe's Kentena is located at Shangri-La Marina at the tip of Grand Lake's popular Monkey Island. Courtesy slips are available for boats of all sizes. By land, head south on Highway 125 on Monkey Island. Stop just before your car falls in the water. You'll be at Island Joe's Kentena. And you won't regret it!
Open from early March until end of September on weekends – and six days a week from 11:00 a.m. during the busy summer months (closed on Tuesdays), Island Joe's Kentena is certainly "Not the Ordinary Joe's!" Stop by for a beverage and a bite to eat. You'll feel like family before you leave!
