About GRDA Police

G.R.D.A. Police, Lake Rules and Water Safety

The Grand River Dam Authority Police Department offers a variety of education programs to the public on how to ensure they safely enjoy their water activities while reducing the risk of injury to family and friends. GRDA officers conduct education programs to teach young and old alike how to stay safe while playing on the water. Whether it's a classroom of school kids or an entire school assembly, a civic group, or a business, we can tailor programs for your group to provide interesting and informative presentations that teach people of all ages how to stay safe when playing on the water.
GRDA Police welcomes the opportunity to join our local communities in celebrating special events. We attend many public events yearly to educate the public about safe water recreation and promote GRDA lakes and Scenic Rivers. Whether it is an event sponsored by a local civic organization or chamber of commerce, we appreciate any invitation to attend community events to remind the public of the importance of practicing safe water recreation. We can also bring specialized equipment, including police vehicles and rescue and patrol boats to display for everyone to see. Special events provide the perfect venue for us to answer questions and distribute various printed information and promotional materials that invite everyone to enjoy what the GRDA lakes and rivers offer safely.
