One of the best-kept secrets in northeast Oklahoma, the 18-hole championship golf course at The Coves Golf Club has challenged golfers of all skill levels since 1987.
Located along the shores of Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees in The Coves at Bird Island gated community, The Coves Golf Club is a private, non-equity golf club that offers many accommodations for its members.
The fun, yet challenging golf course at The Coves Golf Club is kept in great shape, making it a joy to play every day.
Designed by Brent Wadsworth and Randy Heckenkemper, the par-72 golf course offers numerous challenges for golfers. Well-placed bunkers, lakes and out of bounds means each hole is unique in its design, so golfers of all skill levels will enjoy the demands of shot making.
The Coves golf course has a course rating of 69.8 and a slope rating of 118.
Recently ranked as one of the best in Oklahoma, the course stretches as long as 6,600 yards from the championship tees. Its unusual setup of five par-3 holes and five par-5 holes makes for a fun and challenging design.
In addition to the 18-hole golf course, The Coves Golf Club has an excellent, state-of-the-art practice facility. Covering 16 acres, the practice facility features a full driving range, a large 18-hole putting green and a separate short game area with a chipping green and a large sand trap.
The beautiful clubhouse at The Coves Golf Club has a well-stocked pro shop that carries the latest in golf equipment and apparel. The golf club is also the only registered Cleveland/Srixon club fitter in northeast Oklahoma.
The Coves Golf Club also has PGA professional Nathaniel J. Alloway on staff to provide golfers with expert knowledge and guidance. Golf lessons are available for all ages.
Membership at The Coves Golf Club is open to residents of The Coves as well as the general public. There are several different types of memberships available, including family, individual and young executive memberships, as well as corporate memberships for businesses.
The Coves Golf Club has both men’s and women’s golf associations. These active organizations host weekly play-day events and annual events as well as numerous other social activities.
