Following Her Dreams
With the opening of her own chic and trendy store, Tristah's Boutique, owner and operator Alieta Rupp is realizing her dream of selling clothes that complement women.
Tristahs Boutique, Grand Lakes newest shopping destination, is the realization of a dream for owner/operator Alieta Rupp.
I want to sell clothing that will complement women, said Alieta Rupp. Nice clothes that women feel comfortable wearing, that they feel pretty in.
Located in Brentwood Place on South Main in Grove, Tristahs Boutique opened for customers on May 1, 2019, without any fanfare, yet women from all around the Grand Lake area stopped by to check out the new boutique and what it had to offer. And they are liking and buying what they find.
There are no cookie-cutter products or cheaply made items at Tristahs Boutique. Each piece is hand-selected by Rupp with a focus to fashion-forward style and attention to detail, so you know youll find unique, one-of-a-kind looks that will appeal to women of all ages.
Rupp has admired fashion since she was a child. She cites her mother and aunt as glamorous women who were the first to influence her.
Ive always been a fashion person, Rupp said. Growing up, we didnt have a lot of money but our mother sewed all our dresses. I felt as well-dressed as anybody.
Through Tristahs Boutique, Rupp wants to bring that same understanding of how looking good can make a woman feel good to her clientele.
No matter their age or size, Rupp encourages women to come in and talk to her. She looks forward to helping women find the fashions and pieces that make them feel good about themselves.
I want women to feel comfortable enough to shop with me and feel safe, knowing they can come in no matter what their age is or what their size and talk to me and let me help them dress themselves so they feel good about themselves.
With the opening of Tristahs Boutique, Rupp looks forward to being part of the Grand Lake community. She and her husband, Rob, are newcomers to the area, having moved to Grove in 2017, when Rob became the new president of Integris Grove Hospital.
The couple has two daughters and four grandchildren. Because she named her boutique after the couples only granddaughter, Tristah, the proud grandmother jokes that they may have to open other businesses to name after their grandsons.
Tristahs Boutique is not Rupps first retails business. She had an antique store for four years while the couple lived in San Antonio, which is where she built a relationship with several of the gift lines available at the boutique, including the Tyler Candle Company.
