Grove Middle School Grants

The Grove Rotary recently funded four grant requests from the Grove Middle School totaling $5,110. A total of more than $21,000 was awarded to Grove Public schools as part of community giving of grants totaling nearly $89,000.

Kristi Wallace, Chair of the Rotary Charitable Giving Committee, presented Danae Hardy, Middle School Robotics teacher, with a check for $1,699 for a 3D Printer. She was accompanied by two members of the Robotic Team, Josh Peck and Autumn Husong.

Ed Trumbull, the eighth-grade science teacher, accepted a $1,685 donation from Kristi Wallace, Chair of the Rotary Charitable Giving Committee, to pay for expenses of students attending the State Science Fair at OSU in Stillwater.

A Rotary grant of $726 was presented to Middle School Librarian Melinda Jarvis and Tammy Kulper to provide historical fiction and biographies on the Revolutionary War and Civil War. The check was presented by Rotary Charitable Giving Committee Chair Kristi Wallace.

Jason Geer, who is the seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball coach and track coach was awarded $1,000 to help purchase a water bottle filling station for the Middle School. He also teaches Health/Careers and eighth-grade pre-algebra. The check was presented by Kristi Wallace, Chair of the Rotary Charitable Giving Committee.
