Season's Greetings from Second Chance Pet Rescue

Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake extends Season's Greetings to the Grand Lake communities for their continued year-long support of our life-saving, non-profit animal rescue organization.  Without community support, we would not be able to rescue and find forever homes for hundreds of homeless dogs and cats in need.  If you are not familiar with us, we are a private, 501(c)(3) animal rescue dedicated to the principle that all animals must be treated with value, dignity, and respect.  Our thanks to the tireless and dedicated efforts of the shelter staff and our volunteers who keep our dogs and cats safe and healthy while they wait for a loving family to adopt them.
Meet two of our shelter residents whose greatest hope is a loving home for the holidays.  Penelope is a beautiful white dalmatian mix who showed up about to give birth to puppies.  Penelope did well and was a good mama; all her puppies have found their way in the world and now it’s her turn.   Lionara is a beautiful medium haired male. He is a light colored tabby and is ready for his new home.  He is very gentle and good around other cats.  He is active and playful and would be good as either an only cat or with several others.  You won't see this awesome coloring very often.  Both of these shelter residents greatest Christmas wish is to curl up on a warm lap on these cold winter days.  Both would make great family pets.

And the best news is that the adoption fee for all cats/kittens are $10 and for large dogs are $35 through the end of December.   All of our rescued animals are spayed/neutered, microchiped, up to date on vaccinations, and have been health checked by a veterinarian.  Please adopt this Holiday season to give a homeless animal a loving home for the rest of its life.
In addition to our efforts to create a better life for the animals who enter our shelter, we work tirelessly to end the very serious pet overpopulation problem by offering low-cost spay/neuter services every Wednesday.  As a group of dedicated individuals, we fervently hope for a future where all animals are treated humanely, where all pets live in loving homes, and where euthanasia is no longer part of the strategy for pet population control.  Contact the shelter at 918-786-7630 for more information about our Wednesday low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Because we are a private, non-profit animal rescue with no ties to any national animal rescue group, we rely entirely on contributions from individuals and businesses in our community in order to continue our life-saving work.  In this season of giving, will you consider helping us?  No donation is too small.  Even $10 can provide a life-saving vaccine to an animal in our care.  Your time is a generous gift as well.  Please consider volunteering with us or becoming a foster home for special needs animals.
Visit the Second Chance Pet Rescue website at www.doitforthepets.com for more information regarding our non-profit animal rescue organization and how you can help us help the animals, not only during this holiday season but throughout the entire year.  Please send your tax-deductible donation to P.O. Box 451205, Grove, OK  74345 or donate online via the secure website.
We wish all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and safe New Year from the Board of Directors, Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake.
