Upcoming Events at Shangri-La May 16-22, 2019
It’s the last weekend before the Memorial Day holiday weekend. It’s time to tune up your golf game, check out your boat, and make sure you have hotel reservations at Shangri-La for your holiday weekend guests!
It’s a great weekend to spend some time in front of the sports screens at Doc’s. We’ll have complete daily live coverage of the PGA Championship, the NBA Conference Championship series and the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Saturday afternoon, we will also have complete live coverage of the second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown. The Preakness Stakes post time is 5:45 Saturday. Coverage begins at 4:00.
On the golf course, we have a lot of groups visiting to play this weekend. Monday is Play Day for the Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association (Short Putts). The Home of Hope Special Olympics Golf Team is competing in the Summer Olympics this week. We wish them the very best of luck. Monday afternoon, they’ll be back on their home course at Shangri-La!
SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!
Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced between $14 and $16. This week’s menu items include Chicken Club Benedict, a Shrimp Po Boy, Powdered Donut Pancake Surprise, Brisket Jalapeno Poppers, and Chicken Fried Chicken.
Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill continues to offer Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
