AquaPalooza Grand Lake Celebrates 10th Annual Event With Return To Duck Creek
AquaPalooza Grand Lake Celebrates 10 Years With Event on Duck Creek Saturday, July 20
Tulsa’s premier party band, House Party, will be the featured performer at Grand Lake’s largest on-the-water concert and raft up.
The countdown has begun. This Saturday boaters and water lovers of all ages will be makin’ waves and catchin’ rays at AquaPalooza Grand Lake, the largest on-the-water concert and raft up on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees.
Presented by 360GrandLake.com, 2019 AquaPalooza Grand Lake will be rockin’ Grand Lake Saturday, July 20, and celebrating all things summer with live music by the House Party band and lots of fun for everyone.
The event is free and open to all ages. It will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on The Point at Grand Lake RV Resort, which is hosting the 10th annual event. The Duck Creek location marks a return to where AquaPalooza Grand Lake began.
Everyone is invited to boat, paddle or swim their way to Duck Creek to join the party as AquaPalooza Grand Lake celebrates 10 years on Grand Lake.
Organizers are anticipating more than 15,000 partiers from all over the country to attend AquaPalooza Grand Lake. Thousands of boats are expected to gather in Duck Creek. In addition, hundreds will fill the designated swimming area in front of the stage on The Point.
Under normal lake conditions, the band performs at AquaPalooza from a floating stage on Grand Lake. However, this year, the stage will be set up on land at The Point and not in the water. Organizers are confident that the stage location will not change the over-the-top vibe of the annual event.
Entertaining at this year’s epic party will be Tulsa’s premier party band, House Party. Drummer Boyd Murphy says the band is looking forward to performing at AquaPalooza Grand Lake.
“We play high-energy dance music and try to hit all genres,” Murphy said. “We bring the party to the people and keep everyone having a good time.”
House Party is known for its family-friendly music, high-energy stage show and a top-quality sound. A five-member band that features two lead vocalists, Vanessa Oxford and Tony Sabelo, House Party covers a wide array of musical genres and plays lots of party hit favorites.
In addition to Murphy, Oxford and Sabelo, the band includes Jim Long and Ken Young. All of the band members are professional musicians; four of which have more than 20 years of experience.
House Party has performed at a number of Grand Lake area venues and events, including the Cherokee Casino Grove, Downstream Casino, the Splash Bash and for the Fourth of July at Cherokee Yacht Club last year.
Final preparations are under way for AquaPalooza Grand Lake with several new special surprises in store for those who attend.
T-shirts commemorating AquaPalooza Grand Lake’s 10th anniversary will be for sale at the 360GrandLake.com tent on The Point during the concert and raft up as well.
Since no party is complete without something to eat, food vendors, including Kona Ice, My Baby Can Cook, Not Your Grandma’s Cupcakes and Route 66 Fry Bread, will be set up on The Point during AquaPalooza Grand Lake.
Held every year on the third Saturday in July, AquaPalooza Grand Lake is a free public event made possible by generous sponsors. Organizers would like to thank this year’s sponsors, including Grand Lake RV Resort, Austin Brown State Farm Insurance, C&D Fashion Floors, LLC, Pier 13 Wine & Spirits, Grand Splash Marketing, NativeKnot.com, Stuff’ns Cafe, Lighthouse Restaurant, Southern Darlin’s Boutique, Septics R-Us, Kahoots, The Parrot Steakhouse & Grill, Route 66 Realtor and Responsible Recreation, a division of Grand Nation.
AquaPalooza Grand Lake is a not-to-be-missed party, so gas up the boat, slather on sunscreen and prepare to party.
If coming by land, Grand Lake RV Resort is located at 31527 South 4510 Road, Afton. There will be a $10 charge per carload for parking. Partygoers will be shuttled by golf cart to The Point.
