Septic Pump Truck Driver

Job Description:

The duties of a septic pump truck driver include transporting, loading, and unloading equipment and providing pumping service for septic tank and portable restroom units. Your responsibilities consist of both unit delivery and pumping service. As a septic pump truck driver, you typically drive a preset route and service septic tank clients and porta-potty units on that route. During pumping, you may use special cameras to inspect the septic system for leaks and wear-and-tear. You may also need to check ventilation systems. A septic tank servicer has to know how to drive large trucks.



Driver Job Responsibilities:

Drive and operate trucks.
Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
Pre-inspect truck.
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
Load and unload cargo.
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
Driver Skills and Qualifications:

Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout day
Clean driving record
No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
Listening and verbal communication skills
Dependability
