Grand Lake “Big Bass Cash Tournament” Set for November 11-12

As the temperatures cool down the fishing competition on Grand Lake is heating up! The second annual Big Bass Cash Tournament presented by Grand Lake Casino is set for November 11 – 12. The two- day big bass event will feature 80 payouts over the weekend and is open to all anglers regardless of skill level. The professionally organized tournament features tens of thousands of dollars in guaranteed cash prizes, and all tournament entrants age 18 and older are
eligible for the weekend’s Grand Prize drawing - a fully rigged Ranger Bass Boat. As a special bonus, the first 150 registered anglers will also receive complimentary SPRO baits.

“This tournament is a way for us to expand the bass tournament market while bringing more and more tourists to the Grand Lake area in support of our local businesses,” said Grand Lake Casino General Manager Dusty Logan. “If we can expand the reach of a popular sport while expanding the economic growth of the Grand Lake community, it’s a win-win situation,” he said.
Anglers who register by midnight on October 30 for the two-day event will receive two bonus entries for the Ranger boat giveaway. Logan said the guaranteed bi-hourly payouts will total $27,800! Interested anglers can register online by clicking on the “Register Online Website” tab at https://www.jcoutdoors.com/big-bass- cash. Entrants may also prepay utilizing Pay Pal through the website.

All contestants must check in at Grand Lake Casino between 3:00 and 10:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 for information and entry into the drawing for great prizes – including the Ranger bass boat. Entry fees are $125 per day – or $200 for a two-day entry if received by midnight October 30, 2017. All entries after October 30, 2017 including onsite entries at Friday November 10th check in and registration will be 1-Day $140, 2-Day $200.

First cast will be Saturday, November 11, at 6:30 a.m. Boats must be off the water by 6:00 p.m. – and the first day’s hourly payouts will be awarded beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Grand Lake Casino. Sunday’s schedule also includes a 6:30 a.m. “first cast,” with the final awards ceremony and prize drawing set to begin at 5:00 p.m. at Grand Lake Casino. Weigh-in points will be Wolf Creek and Sunset at Bernice Point.

“This is the second year for this exciting promotion at Grand Lake Casino,” according to General Manager Dusty Logan. “Grand Lake is well known as one of the most popular bass fishing lakes in America, but we hope our Big Bass Cash Tournament will expand the sport even further and bring more new anglers to our lake by making great prizes available to all fishermen, regardless of their skill level.

“We timed this event to do our part to extend and expand the Grand Lake season,” Logan said. “Every event outside the parameters of the traditional lake season helps our business community draw closer to the goal of making Grand Lake a year-round destination,” he said. “That is a goal every Grand Lake business should share.”
