Fostering a Shelter Animal is So Important to Second Chance Pet Rescue
Delilah is a very precious senior girl (probably 10+ years young) that ended up at the shelter through no fault of her own.  She is not sure what happened to her previous life and is a little scared living at the shelter, and is in need of an immediate home, possibly a Foster Home to help her adjust to the unexpected turn in her life.  Second Chance Pet Rescue will have Delilah vet checked and hopes to have her placed in a foster home or adopted soon as there has been some interest on Facebook about Delilah.
However, Delilah is a perfect example of the many pets that are surrendered to the shelter that have a difficult time adjusting to their new shelter surroundings and experience "shelter stress".  If interested in fostering or adopting Delilah or how you can help any of the many shelter animals that are currently needing a foster home or a permanent home, please contact the shelter at 918-786-7630 for more information.
Second Chance Pet Rescue is in great need for good solid, short-term foster homes for their shelter animals.  Would you be interested in becoming a Foster Parent for Second Chance Pet Rescue?  If you are unable to accept the long-term commitment of a dog or cat but miss their companionship, then the Fostering Program could be for you.
The Fostering Program is very important to Second Chance Pet Rescue as it provides important benefits such as:
  • Helps to rehabilitate sick or injured pets.
  • Socialization so the pet is more accustomed to living in a home environment.
  • Helps relieve "shelter stress" for animals that are having a hard time adjusting to the shelter environment or have been in the shelter for a long time.
  • Creates space in the shelter to save more lives.
  • Gives an animal a chance at love while waiting for its permanent family.
Fostering a shelter animal enriches not only their lives but yours as well!  To learn more about becoming a foster parent, contact Second Chance Pet Rescue at 918-786-7630 or email hsgrove@att.net with your inquiry.  Also, visit its website at www.doitforthepets.com and click on Foster Care for more information about its program.  You can follow events and heartwarming stories of adoptions and view pictures of available shelter animals via Facebook.com/Second Chance Pet Rescue.
Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is a non-profit, life-saving animal rescue organization that relies on private donations to help the animals.  Please help Second Chance continue to care for shelter animals by mailing your tax-deductible donation to P.O Box 451205, Grove, OK  74345 or donate electronically via its secure website.
