Monthly Sponsors Needed to Help Second Chance Pet Rescue
Hi!  My name is Star, and I'm waiting at Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake for my forever home.  I am a young (about one year old) beautiful lab/border collie mix that has a bubbling disposition, is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is very eager to learn new tricks to show off my intelligence.  I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, and in very good health.  Please come visit me at the Second Chance Pet Rescue shelter and consider making me a part of your family.  I promise to be a faithful family companion if only given a "second chance".

Second Chance Pet Rescue has many dogs and cats that need your help.  There are just too many abandoned dogs and cats living at the shelter and not enough loving homes to adopt them.  Please consider becoming a Monthly Sponsor and make a donation today.  Your monthly donation can and does make a difference in saving lives of the rescued animals that find their way to Second Chance Pet Rescue.  Did you know that it is so easy to make an automated monthly donation payment simply by contacting your financial institution?  And it's good to know that all your contributions are tax deductible.  Please considering becoming a Monthly Sponsor for Second Chance Pet Rescue, or make a one-time donation by mailing a check today to P.O. Box 451205, Grove, OK  74345, or visit its website at www.doitforthepets.com and donate electronically.
Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is a private, non-profit life saving animal welfare organization.  It is not affiliated with any national Humane Society or other animal rescue organization and is operated entirely on private donations.  Money is needed today for food, veterinary medical expenses, spay or neuter procedures, vaccinations, and flea/tick and heart-worm prevention, just to name a few of the costs that are incurred on a monthly basis.
Also, monetary donations are needed to continue its monthly Transport Program of dogs and cats to out-of-state animal rescue organizations for adoption.  Second Chance Pet Rescue began its Transport Program in 2012 and has transported well over 2,000+ pets to out-of-state animal shelters where they have all found their forever homes.  This Transport Program must continue in order to find homes for the many abused, neglected and abandoned animals that arrive at Second Chance Pet Rescue on a daily basis.
We at Second Chance Pet Rescue are continually overwhelmed by the number of abandoned dogs/puppies and cats/kittens in Northeast Oklahoma.  The shelter is inundated daily with pleas from people that have unexpected litters of puppies and kittens or who find young litters abandoned and left to die an agonizing death.  There IS a very serious pet overpopulation crisis that continues year after year, no matter how many animals Second Chance Pet Rescue attempts to rescue or transport.  The only solution to this very serious crisis is for the public to spay or neuter their family dogs or cats.  Second Chance Pet Rescue offers a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public.  You may contact the shelter at 918-786-7630 to make an appointment for your pet or contact your local veterinarian.  But please spay or neuter your family pet today to STOP pet overpopulation.
