FESTIVUS Time At Shangri-La

It’s FESTIVUS time at Shangri-La. We hope all members can join us for complimentary hors d’ oeuvres, wine, beer, special discounts on apparel and equipment in the Golf Shop, free gift wrapping, and the official kick-off of the holiday season at Shangri-La. The event is Saturdayafternoon/evening 5:00-8:00 p.m. It’s always a lot of fun – and great Christmas gift shopping, too! You might as well plan to spend the evening. The Summit Restaurant will be open for dinner service, of course.
 
Speaking of the Summit, please note that NEW WINTER HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE SUMMIT RESTAURANT: closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the winter (although there will be beverage service at the Buffalo Bar from 11:00-3:00; Thursdays, the Summit will be open 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. for both lunch and dinner service. Sundays, we offer a special brunch menu from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
 
There are still dining options, of course. The Turnhouse will offer sandwiches and snacks 7 days a week 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday-Saturday – and Doc’s Bar & Grill at the hotel is open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. until midnightwith a wide variety of dining options.
 
Remember, you can leave the Thanksgiving cooking to us – and still take all the credit by ordering our special “Thanksgiving-to-Go” dinner ($20 per person). Time is short, though. Doc’s will also be serving Thanksgiving Dinner from 11:00 a.m. until close on Thanksgiving Day. This week, we are happy to welcome Hilti-OCJ Mini Pit, Integris Grove & Miami Physicians, and Pfizer Pharmaceutical who will be relaxing with us. Remember, it’s not too late to schedule your holiday party at one of the many venues and menus available at Shangri-La.
 
You can always enjoy PGA Golf, college and NFL football action, NASCAR and NBA basketball with us at Doc’s Bar & Grill. If you prefer watching outdoors or in the “cave,” we have installed heaters at the outside bar areas for your comfort. Doc’s has become Grand Lake’s favorite spot for sporting events.
 
Remember, the Spa at Shangri-La is open at the hotel Wednesday from 10:00-3:00 and Thursday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Call for reservations for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, IV therapy, Botox or filler treatment. At the Spa at Shangri-La, we always strive to bring you products that are beautifully designed, respectfully recognized and as organically produced as the legacy of Shangri-La itself.
 
We are confident we have paired with the first class products in skincare. Stayed tuned as we reveal details in future posts followed up by a launch event in true Shangri-La fashion in the near future. The girls at the spa also have mani-pedi packages for kids!
