We have a jam-packed schedule and a full hotel this holiday weekend. Come enjoy all the fun Shangri-La has to offer! It’s a busy, busy weekend, so we encourage everyone on the Shangri-La campus to use your golf carts if you have one. It will make things a lot easier for you!  Members – remember, your food minimums now may be met by food purchases at any of our venues – Doc’s, Eddy’s, and the Turn House, as well as the Summit Restaurant.

Thursday Night Karaoke and Shrimp Boil moves to Eddy’s Lakeside Bar for this week only. Come enjoy Chef Mike’s fabulous shrimp and andouille – and the fabulous karaoke fun with the talented Jason Morgan! Since it’s the 4^th of July, we thought you might want to stay and play late. We’ll also be offering a prize for the best-dressed attendee in red, white, and blue!

Friday evening, Shangri-La members and registered hotel guests are invited to join us for “Shark Movie Night at the Pool.” Come early and join the fun of our watermelon eating competition. Sign up beginning at 7:30. At 8:00, we’ll draw names of six adult and six youngsters to compete for prizes in the eating competition. As soon as it’s dark enough – probably 9:00ish – we’ll start the movie: The Meg. If you’re brave enough to watch it in the water, we’ll have some noodles available.

Friday on the course, we’ll play “Par 3 Jackpot” for anyone who wants to participate from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It’s a chance to double your money on golf shop credit. Inquire at the Golf Shop. Friday at 5:00 is also our annual 4^th of July Alternate Shot Horse Race (sign up at the Golf Shop).

Saturday is a really big day. We start at the Golf Shop at 8:00 a.m. with available Swing Analysis (8:00-10:00 a.m.) Beginning at 6:00, we’ll host our annual Family Fun Festival with games and inflated fun for the kids, concessions, entertainment by DJ Max McQuirk of Maximum Entertainment, and a vintage aircraft air show, followed by the legendary Monkey Island Fireworks Show at dark. If you have a golf cart, that’s the best way to avoid traffic and parking problems. Use the trail.

Saturday night at Eddy’s, the Nashville recording artists The Travis Marvin Bandwill entertain. Saturday. Eddy’s is open Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until midnight this week, and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Monday, the SLWGA ladies will be on the course for their regular play day (S&F-Low Gross) and the 2019 Shangri-La Summer Sports Camp runs next Monday-Wednesday!

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!

Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced between $12-$15. This week's special Sunday Brunch offerings include 'Merica Benedict, American Bacon Hot Dog, Freedom Pancakes, Texas Breakfast Pizza, and The Trey Dawg (try it with a loaded Bloody Mary).

Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
