It’s “Folds of Honor” weekend at Shangri-La! Our biggest charity golf tournament of the year is set for Sunday afternoon; but there’s plenty more happening all weekend long.

The weekend starts Thursday afternoon at 5:00 on the golf course with our regular Thursday Night Scramble. We’ll kick off the weekend fun at Doc’s with Chef Mike’s fabulous food and Jason Morgan’s great entertainment at the Thursday Night Cave Karaoke & Shrimp Boil on the patio at Doc’s from 6:00-9:00.

Friday afternoon, join us on the golf course for the “Yellow Rabbit Run Horse Race” beginning at 5:00. Sign up at the golf shop if you want to get in on the fun.

Friday evening, be sure to join us on the North Patio of the club house from 6:00-8:00 for a fun “Member/Guest Martini, Scotch & Cigar Tasting.” There is no admission charge, and you can test all the varieties of martinis and Scotches you want for just $3 per drink!

 

Saturday morning on the practice tees at the club house, join our golf professionals and factory representatives for a demonstration & fitting of the incredible Callaway Epic Forged Irons. If you haven’t experienced the difference these revolutionary irons can make in your game, you should check them out Saturday.The demonstration will run from 10:00-2:00.

Saturday afternoon at 4:00, Folds of Honor weekend begins with the Folds of Honor Partners Alternate Shot Horse Race. Sign up at the Golf Shop if you would like to be involved. Sunday is the big “Folds of Honor Classic” golf tournament beginning at 1:00, so you’ll have plenty of time to start your day off right with Sunday Brunch at Doc’s.

Monday the SLWGA ladies will host their annual Golf for the Cure tournament; and Tuesday night you can enjoy lots of trivia fun with Jason Morgan while chowing down on award-winning taco selections and $5 margaritas at our weekly “Trivia, Tacos and Tequila Tuesday” from 6:00-9:00 at Doc’s Bar & Grill.  

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!

Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is served from 9:00-2:00. Regular breakfast menu items are available until 11:00 a.m. with lunch menu items available after 11:00. Doc’s is always open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced at $14-$16.  This week’s Sunday Bruch Specials include Raven Benedict, a Smoked Prime Rib Sandwich, Peaches & Cream French Toast, a Carne Breakfast Burrito, and Creole Mac & Cheese.

Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
