First off, Horse Race participants – there is no “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race this week due to the scheduling of the fantastic Mary Moore Charity Event on the golf course Friday. We will resume our regular Friday night Horse Race next week – 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 16.

This week, we’ll start the weekend on the golf course with the Thursday Night Scramble at 5:00 and, of course, the Thursday Night “Cave Karaoke and Shrimp Boil” on Doc’s Patio. Come enjoy Chef Mike’s awesome shrimp and andouille – and the fabulous karaoke fun with the talented Jason Morgan!

Friday is one of the greatest events of the year – the Mary Moore Charity Golf Classic and Silent Auction benefiting the Home of Hope Special Olympics. Even if you’re not playing in the event, stop by the club house any time after noon to bid on some fantastic items for an awesome cause!

Saturday morning, we’ll have a Breakfast Burrito Bar at the Golf Shop for early players (7:30-10:30) including the MGA Breakfast Club which will be playing a “Best 2 Balls of 4” format this week. Saturday afternoon, we’ll have some generational fun with our Adult/Child Par 3 Challenge at 3:00.

Saturday night at Eddy’s, RocKFiscH will entertain. Eddy’s is open Friday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until midnight, and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Monday, the SLWGA ladies will be on the course for their regular Play Day (Low Gross/Low Net). Monday is also a “Golf Course Fishing” day (8:30-10:00 a.m.). There’s a “Women’s Golf Clinic” scheduled for Tuesday from 8:30-9:15.

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!

Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is served from 9:00-2:00. Doc’s is always open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced between $14-$15. In addition to our regular menu, this week's Sunday Brunch offerings include Tuscan Benedict, Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, Summer Lovin' Pancakes, Fried Shrimp & Andouille Risotto, and Roast Pork. Enjoy!

Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
