It’s another busy weekend at Shangri-La – especially Saturday morning with the MGA Breakfast Club, the 0.5K walk/run benefiting DCCSAN, the OU-Texas Tailgate Party, and the OU-Texas watch party at Doc’s – all before noon!

We’ll kick off the weekend fun at Doc’s with Chef Mike’s fabulous food and Jason Morgan’s great entertainment at the Thursday Night Cave Karaoke & Shrimp Boil at Doc’s from 6:00-9:00.

Friday afternoon, join us on the golf course for the “Yellow Rabbit Run Horse Race” beginning at 5:00. Sign up at the golf shop if you want to get in on the fun.

Fundraising 0.5K

Saturday morning starts early with a full day of fun! At 9:00 a.m., join us for the 0.5K walk/run in the resort hotel parking lot, raising money for a great cause – the Delaware County Children’s Special Advocacy Network (DCCSAN). For a $35 entry fee, you get a drink ticket (of course we’ll have a bar at both the starting line and the finish line), and great snacks. This isn’t a 5K event. It’s a “point-five-K” – barely over 500 yards. If you’re not sure you can make it the entire way, donate an extra $20 to DCCSAN and we’ll carry you through the course on a golf cart!

OU-Texas Tailgate & Watch Party

Saturday morning at 9:00 is also the Shangri-La OU-Texas Tailgate Party. Join us on the south lawn of the resort hotel for pre-game fun & food including your favorite beverages and Chef Mike’s great day-starting tailgate sandwiches. Kick-off for the Red River Rivalry is at 11:10 – and there’s no better place for game-day parties than Doc’s Bar & Grill.

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!

Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is served from 9:00-2:00. Regular breakfast menu items are available until 11:00 a.m. with lunch menu items available after 11:00. Doc’s is always open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced at $14-$16.  This week's Sooner Sunday Brunch Specials include Boomer Benedict, a Sooner Sandwich, Crimson & Cream Pancakes, a Burrow Breakfast Burrito and Hurt's Ham Hock Beans.

Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.

Grand Lady Tournament

Sunday & Monday the SLWGA will host the annual Grand Lady Tournament. The ladies will also have their regular Play Day on Monday – Low Gross/Low Net for the 18-holers and Poker for the 9-holers.

Trivia, Tacos & Tequila Tuesday

Don’t forget to mark your calendar to join us every Tuesday evening for Trivia, Tacos & Tequila Tuesday at Doc’s from 6:00-9:00 p.m. It’s great fun, great food, and great beverages. Trivia competition hosted by our own Jason Morgan, $3 award-winning tacos (or 3 for $8) and a variety of tequila choices including $5 margarita specials.
