Upcoming Events at Shangri-La April 11-17, 2019

The Shangri-La Men’s Golf Association opens 2019 play this week. The season gets underway with a membership meeting and breakfast at 7:30 Saturday morning, followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start for the MGA Spring Scramble. The SLWGA season is also underway, with their second Play Day set for Monday (Blind Holes).

It’s Masters Week and the NBA Playoffs begin Saturday. It couldn’t be a bigger week in the sports world. We will have complete live coverage of The Masters Thursday-Sunday at both Doc’s Bar & Grill and the Buffalo Bar. We will also have coverage of the NBA Playoffs at Doc’s, including the Oklahoma City Thunder, of course.

Shangri-La venues are now operating summer hours. Doc’s is open Sunday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., and Friday & Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-midnight. The Summit is open for service to members and resort guests Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Monday-Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Service at the Turn House is available daily from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

The Spa at Shangri-La has expanded operations. They are open Sunday, Monday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Although the Spa is closed Tuesday & Wednesday, services are available to groups with advance arrangements. Remember, Shangri-La members receive a 20% discount on Spa services!

SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!

Sunday is our popular “Sunday Brunch” at Doc’s Bar & Grill from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All brunch special items are priced from $14-$15; and the Doc’s brunch is open to the public. This week’s special menu selections include Summit Benedict, a Texas Breakfast Hoagie, Strawberry & Cream Pancakes, a Club Wrap, and Blackened Catfish.

Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill continues to offer Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
