Upcoming Events at Shangri-La July 19-25, 2018
We start them young at Shangri-La! Thursday and Friday this week, we are excited about our inaugural Shangri-La Junior Players Championship Tournament! We started the week with a three-day Junior Skills Camp, sharpening the skills for the tournament players. It should be a great event. We are also delighted to have the Golfapalooza tournament rolling this week, as well, along with our regular Friday afternoon “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race Fridayat 5:00, the Annual Oklahoma Legislative Golf Tournament Saturday morning and a “Back to the Basics” Short Game Clinic Saturday afternoon at 3:00 (sign up in the Golf Shop).
Monday, the SLWGA ladies will be on the course (LG/LN for 18-holers, LN/Even Holes for 9-holers). The Home of Hope Special Olympics Golf Team will be playing Monday afternoon at 5:00 and we have another Junior Players Play Day set next Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
In addition to hosting the annual Oklahoma Legislative Grand Lake Family Getaway this week, we are happy to be joined by the Grand River Dam Authority, the Rawlings Family Reunion, and DeJarnette Group, the Gilby Party, the Dearing Party, Commercial Distributors, Inc., and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
There is live entertainment at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar again this weekend. “Risky Business” will be on stage at Eddy’s Saturday night from 8:00-11:00.
Chef Mike and his culinary crew also have a very special Sunday Brunch line-up for the Summit Restaurant this week (10:00-2:00). This week’s brunch menu includes Black & Blue Eggs Benedict, a Chicken Caesar Wrap, S’mores French Toast, and “The Morning After” with Eggs, Corned Beef Hash, Breakfast Potatoes and Toast.
As another option, Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers a weekend Breakfast Buffet from7:00 a.m.-Noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Choose from a Continental Breakfast or a Full Buffet. The newly approved change in our liquor law allows also you to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sundays. We are now serving Sunday at both Doc’s and the Summit beginning at 10:00 – and at Eddy’s upon opening at 11:00.
Doc’s Bar & Grill is open daily for three meals, and now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
