Sunday will be one of our busiest days of the year at the Summit Restaurant as Chef Michael and his culinary crew present our fabulous “Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch.” If you haven’t already made reservations, please do so. Brunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Remember, too, that the Summit Restaurant is now open for dinner Sunday evenings in addition to our regular Thursday,Friday & Saturday lunch and dinner service.
Saturday is the May golf outing for the Men’s Golf Association. They’ll be playing a Graduation Game with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Monday is Play Day for the Women’s Golf Association. 18-holers will play a Low Gross/Low Net format while 9-holers will play Low Net/Odd Holes. The Home of Hope Golf Team will join us on the course Monday afternoon, as well.
Saturday night will be especially fun at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar. The fabulous band “Risky Business” will perform from 8:00-11:00 p.m. Saturday at Eddy’s.
This week, we are also proud to host Sonic Corporation, Rich & Cartmill, Enterprise Rental Car, the Bayou Golf Group, Bushwood Golf Group, First National Bank of Vinita & Grove, Edward Jones, the Winters Group, Boehringer-Ingelheim, the Community Crisis Center of Northeast Oklahoma, and the “Living Grand on Grand Lake” television program production crew which will be doing two feature stories for their program – one on “Restofus,” John F. Kennedy’s personal speedboat which is on display in the hotel lobby, and another featuring Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director Michael Bujold.
We take special pride in the fact that 1st National Bank of Vinita and Grove will host a Friday evening event at Shangri-La to present their annual “Excellence in Business Award.” It is a great honor for us that this year’s award will be presented to Shangri-La Resort owner Eddy Gibbs.
NBA Playoffs continue this week as we move into conference championship action – and PGA Players are at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida this week for The Players Championship. Doc’s Bar & Grill and Eddy’s Lakeside Bar are always the best places to enjoy your favorite sporting events. We hope you will join us.
