Upcoming Events at Shangri-La May 23-29, 2019
It’s Memorial Weekend – and the weather is FINALLY giving us a break. The weekend forecast looks good – but we are still dealing with high water level issues. Golf course and marina crews are working hard to make sure the high water impacts our members and guests as little as possible. We have a lot of fun planned for the weekend.
Wine Club members will kick off the weekend Friday evening in the lobby of the club house with the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend “Wine Mingle.” We’ll have great hors d’ oeuvres and some delightful wines to try.
Eddy’s Lakeside Bar is open for the 2019 season – and we have a great entertainment line-up this weekend. Saturday night, the season-opening entertainment is the talented band RocKFiscH. Sunday night should be a lot of fun. You may remember Ayngel from last summer. Her high-energy DJ and Karaoke show is something to behold.
Eddy’s is open for the holiday weekend Friday-Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until midnight and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday night entertainment runs from 8:00 until 11:00.
On the golf course, we have a lot of groups visiting to play this weekend. Since Monday is a holiday, the Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association will hold their regular Play Day on Tuesday rather than Monday. 18-holers will play a first 3/last 3 format while 9-holers will play poker.
SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!
Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced between $11 and $14. This week’s menu choices include Chicken Fajita Benedict, a Ham, Egg & Cheese Croissant, Banana Nut Pancakes, a Farmer’s Skillet, and Grilled Cheese & Tomato Bisque.
Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill continues to offer Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
BLOOD DRIVE TUESDAY
We invite everyone to join us Tuesday from 11:00-3:00 at the Resort Hotel to participate in the "Summer Vibes & Saving Lives" Shangri-La Blood Drive. We are once again conducting this blood drive in conjunction with the Blood Institutes of Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. Please participate if you can! The need is great.
