South Grand Lake’s premier dining establishment, The Artichoke Restaurant and Bar will be serving a mouthwatering Valentine’s Day special that showcases the restaurant’s new American cuisine, using only the freshest and finest ingredients.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, The Artichoke Restaurant and Bar will feature a Filet and Lobster Tail dinner beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, Saturday, Feb. 13 and, for a special Valentine’s Day evening Sunday, Feb. 14.

The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill

If you’re looking for a special date night with your valentine that won’t empty your wallet, you’ll want to take your sweetie to The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill this Valentine’s Day.

A tropical oasis on Grand Lake, The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill is offering several holiday specials, any of which are sure to satisfy both your date and your wallet.

These Valentine’s Day specials include a fresh, hand-cut Kansas City Strip dinner for two with baked potato, veggie and salad for only $39.99; a pasta special for two featuring deliciously seasoned Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and salad for only $19.99; and fresh Chilean Sea Bass with mango salsa on a bed of wild rice with mushrooms served with sautéed veggies and a salad.

The Parrot will also be serving a speciality dessert, Tableside Bananas Foster, for the holiday.

Shangri-La Resort

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart at Shangri-La Resort. From special dinner menus at Doc’s Bar and Grill and The Summit to special package rates at the hotel, love is definitely in the air at Shangri-La Resort.

Step up the romance and book a Valentine’s getaway at Shangri-La Resort. Special Valentine’s weekend package rates are available for February 12-14. Doc’s Bar and Grill

Doc’s Bar and Grill at Shangri-La Resort will be featuring a special Valentine’s three-course meal with options. Doc’s regular menu will also be available all weekend along with brunch specials from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

“Bring your loved one in for a special dinner at Doc’s! We have a delicious menu to choose from that everyone will enjoy,” said a spokesperson for Doc’s Bar and Grill.

The special Valentine’s three-course meal includes choice of appetizer, either Shrimp Cocktail, large cocktail shrimp, Boudreaux’s Cocktail Sauce and remoulade; Caprese Salad, beef steak tomato, buffalo mozzarella, basil, balsamic reduction, sea salt and cracked pepper; or Asian Chicken Satay, marinated Gochujang chicken, fire grilled, scallions and grilled pineapple.

The second course is choice of Smoked Prime Rib, smoked prime rib, garlic-parmesan mashed potatoes and sautéed asparagus; Thai Shrimp Drunken Noodle, shrimp, onions, carrots, celery, chili pepper, bell peppers, sweet Thai basil sauce and rice noodle; or Chicken Marsala, sautéed chicken breast, baby spinach, roasted red peppers, shallots, garlic, Marsala sauce and mashed potatoes.

For dessert, the meal includes choice of Chocolate Fondue, heated liquid milk chocolate served with assorted fruits, brownie bites and cookies; Strawberry Shortcake, pound cake, macerated strawberries and whipped sweet cream; or Peaches ’n’ Cream, peach gelato, vanilla gelato, fried peaches and fresh whipped cream.

The three-course meal is $45 per person or upgrade to dinner for two plus a select bottle of wine for $100 a couple. It will be available from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 14.

Doc’s Bar and Grill will have live music on Valentine’s weekend with Corey Lee performing from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and Jacob Dement performing from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13.

The Summit

Grand Lake’s finest dining experience, The Summit Restaurant at Shangri-La Resort is celebrating the holiday with a special valentine’s menu, from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 14.

Members and hotel guests can enjoy the special Valentine’s menu that begins with an appetizer, Crawfish Tamale, featuring Louisiana crawfish, masa, corn husk, salsa verde, cream fraiche, micro cilantro, which will be paired with Quintas de Melgaco Torre de Menagem Albarino.

The first course is a Sonoran Chopped Salad with baby berg lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, roasted corn, black beans, bacon, scallions, crispy tortilla strips, adobo-cilantro ranch and paired with Coquerel “Le Petit” Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley wine.

Paired with Montinore Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, the Surf and Turf main course features ancho rubbed petit filet of beef, lobster tail, chili-lime compound butter, grilled asparagus and sweet potato cumin-cilantro pommes duchesse.

Last, but definitely not least, is the dessert course — Xocolatl Aztec Hot Chocolate Bomb with sweet and rich hot chocolate, whipped cream and churros. Dessert can be paired with Cantera Negra Cafe Agave Liqueur.

The Valentine’s menu is $70 a person or $100 a person with the wine pairings.

Who needs cupid when you can present your valentine with decadent, swoon-worthy treats? Shangri-La Resort is offering a selection of Valentine’s Sweet Desserts To Go, including Chocolate-Covered Strawberries and Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls.

Sure to sweeten your valentine experience, the chocolate-covered strawberries are available in white, milk chocolate or dark chocolate. The strawberries are $12 for a half dozen or $24 for a dozen. Topped with cream cheese icing, the red velvet cinnamon rolls are $10 plus tax and service charge for four rolls. Tax and a service charge apply as well.

The Valentine’s Day special dinner will start with a portobello mushroom appetizer. For the entrée, you can chose either an 8-ounce filet served with lobster tail and wild rice or filet and shrimp served with a side. Both entrées come with your choice of soup or salad.

The dinner will include a glass of white or red wine per person and, for dessert, the Lighthouse will be serving a slice of strawberry cake for each couple to share.

The Valentine’s Day Special is $120 per couple and is available from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 14. Walk-ins and reservations are both welcome on Friday and Saturday; however, Sunday seatings from 5 to 9 p.m. will be by reservation only.

Twin Bridges Restaurant

The salad course is your choice of either tossed green salad or Caesar salad. For the entree, the chef will prepare an 8-ounce beef tenderloin filet and serve it with a smoked cheddar twice-baked potato and grilled asparagus.

For a sweet ending to the meal, a Be Mine cheesecake will be served for dessert.
